Towards information theory for q-nonextensive statistics without q-deformed distributions

چکیده
In this paper we extend our recent results [Physica A 340 (2004) 110] on q-nonextensive statistics with non-Tsallis entropies. In particular, we combine an axiomatics of Rényi with the q-deformed version of Khinchin axioms to obtain the entropy which accounts both for systems with embedded self-similarity and q-nonextensivity. We find that this entropy can be uniquely solved in terms of a one-parameter family of information measures. The corresponding entropy maximizer is expressible via a special function known under the name of the Lambert W-function. We analyze the corresponding “high” and “low-temperature” asymptotics and make some remarks on the possible applications. PACS: 65.40.Gr, 47.53.+n, 05.90.+m

Jeans’ gravitational instability and nonextensive kinetic theory
The concept of Jeans gravitational instability is rediscussed in the framework of nonextensive statistics and its associated kinetic theory. A simple analytical formula generalizing the Jeans criterion is derived by assuming that the unperturbed self-gravitating collisionless gas is kinetically described by the q-parameterized class of power law velocity distributions. It is found that the crit...
متن کاملA possible deformed algebra and calculus inspired in nonextensive thermostatistics
We present a deformed algebra related to the q-exponential and the q-logarithm functions that emerge from nonextensive statistical mechanics. We also develop a q-derivative (and consistently a q-integral) for which the q-exponential is an eigenfunction. The q-derivative and the q-integral have a dual nature, that is also presented.
متن کاملGeneralized symmetric nonextensive thermostatistics and q-modified structures
We formulate a convenient generalization of the q-expectation value, based on the analogy of the symmetric quantum groups and q-calculus, and show that the q ↔ q−1 symmetric nonextensive entropy preserves all of the mathematical structure of thermodynamics just as in the case of non-symmetric Tsallis statistics. Basic properties and analogies with quantum groups are discussed. PACS: 05.20.-y; 0...
متن کاملBose-Einstein and Fermi-Dirac distributions in nonextensive quantum statistics: An exact approach
Bose-Einstein (BE) and Fermi-Dirac (FD) distributions in nonextensive quantum statistics have been discussed with the use of exact integral representations for the grand canonical partition function [Rajagopal, Mendes and Lenzi, Phys. Rev. Lett. 80, 3907 (1998)]. Integrals along real axis in the case of q > 1.0 are modified by an appropriate change of variable, which makes numerical calculation...
متن کامل] 3 M ay 2 00 8 SYMMETRIC ( q , α ) - STABLE DISTRIBUTIONS . PART I : FIRST REPRESENTATION
The classic central limit theorem and α-stable distributions play a key role in probability theory, and also in Boltzmann-Gibbs (BG) statistical mechanics. They both concern the paradigmatic case of probabilistic independence of the random variables that are being summed. A generalization of the BG theory, usually referred to as nonextensive statistical mechanics and characterized by the index ...
